Marc Overmars on the chances of De Ligt leaving Ajax in January
The sporting director is determined not to let the centre-back leave the club
Barcelona have set their sights on Ajax defender De Ligt. And just as when they tried to sign Frenkie De Jong, they found the Dutch club unwilling to sell.
Their sporting director and former Barcelona player Marc Overmars spoke about the chances of De Ligt leaving in the January transfer window.
De Ligt has had a fine start to the season and Ajax are doing very well too, teaching Bayern Munich a thing or two as the sides drew in the Champions League recently.
At just 19 defender De Ligt is a 'Kaiser' and Overmars knows it.
"The chances of De Ligt leaving Ajax in January are zero per cent," Overmars told LaRoma24.it. On a potential summer move, he said: "It's a possibility."
