The goalkeeper sent out a statement of intent after the impressive victory
Marc Andre ter Stegen celebrated Barcelona's 4-2 win over Sevilla with an optimistic message on Instagram, illustrated with a spectacular photo of one of his splendid saves from the game.
"This is the start that we wanted in a week filled with difficult challenges," proclaimed the German on social media.
Ter Stegen had a wonerful game in which he made two great double saves and left to an ovation from Camp Nou.
At the end of the game, despite the bad news of Messi's injury, his team-mates congratulated him effusively, despite the fact he ended up conceding twice - neither goal was his fault.
