Marc-Andre ter Stegen’s contract renewal is on a good path. The deal is very close according to Esport3 on TV3.
He is in his third season as a Barcelona goalkeeper. He signed in 2014 from Monchengladbach for 12m euros plus 750k in variables.
The German stopper signed on until June 2019 with an 80m release fee clause.
After seeing off his competition in Claudio Bravo, he has become the main starter for Barcelona and a new deal for him is one of the club’s priorities.
After some time negotiating with his agent, a deal is close and in the home straight. He has played 90 games for the team, winning 68, drawing 10 and losing 12, shipping 86 goals and keeping 36 clean sheets.
