Marc-Andre ter Stegen in cotton wool after injury alert
Joachim Low has rested Ter Stegen, who has a slight knee problem
Marc André Ter Stegen, FC Barcelona's German goalkeeper, will not play on Tuesday in the game between Germany and Brazil. Knee problems that started a few days ago have persuaded Joachim Low, Germany's coach, to rest the stopper.
"Ter Stegen will rest tomorrow. If there is nothing unexpected at the last minute, Leno and Trapp will play one half each," said Low.
Ter Stegen's injury worries are minor and he is being rested as a precaution. In the Brazil squad are Ter Stegen's team-mates Philippe Coutinho and Paulinho, who will now not face their club mate.
