United want to sign Sancho from Dortmund but will turn to Dembele if they can't agree on a transfer fee

Manchester United are one of a few teams looking to spend big this summer and their main transfer target is Jadon Sancho. The English winger plays for Dortmund and they've put a hefty price tag on his head. Now it appears United will turn to Ousmane Dembele if they can't agree a fee with the German side.

Dortmund are refusing to give up Sancho easily despite the huge amounts of money on offer. Their director of football, Zorc, said: "We are counting on him. He'll play with us next season. I believe that answers all your questions." The 20-year-old Sancho ended up at Dortmund after leaving United's neighbours Manchester City in a €7m deal. He's become a household name in Germany and is open to a return home.

According to ESPN, United's 'Plan B' is Ousmane Dembele. It's unsure what Barça's position would be if United follow up their interest with a formal offer but, at the moment, it appears to be more of a ploy to get Dortmund - or Sancho - to move transfer talks forward.
