Manchester United threaten to end De Jong talks due to Barça demands
The English club insist they will not match Barça's €100m asking price
They have so far offered a total package worth around €70m
Manchester United and Barcelona continue to negotiate the transfer of Frenkie de Jong but tension has emerged between the two clubs.
Barça have warned that they want a package worth €100 million but United are not willing to pay more than €80m in total, including the initial fee and add-ons.
The Englsh club have threatened to end negotiations if they can't reach an agreement that suits all parties involved and insist they will not get near €100m.
United's interest in De Jong is clear and they have never hidden their intention. They feel Barça need to sell to strengthen their poor financial situation and The Mirror site a source at the Premier League club saying: "We want De Jong, but we won't be Barça's saviour from their financial issues. We will only sign him if it's a reasonable price."
The offer so far from Barça is around 70m, which includes €10m in add ons. Barça want more.
