Manchester United interested in Barca target Amrabat

While waiting for La Liga to give the green light, or not, to the financial viability plan presented by FC Barcelona, the sporting directors continue to work on finding the replacement of Sergio Busquets. Xavi Hernández reminded everyone in his press conference prior to the last league game against Celta Vigo that the priority is the arrival of Leo Messi and a defensive midfielder.

There are several names that Barça are considering to replace the player from Badia del Vallès, and all of them will depend on the way in which Barça take on the summer transfer market: an optimistic, less optimistic or pessimistic one. Martín Zubimendi, Joshua Kimmich, Rúben Neves, Guido Rodríguez and Sofyan Amrabat are some of the candidates to be chosen as the team's pivot.

The Moroccan forced the issue as much as he could, and was close to signing for the Blaugrana in the winter transfer market, but Fiorentina did not put any facility to close the deal and the operation ended up 'falling'. Due to the Blaugrana's difficulties with the Financial Fair Play, he was due to arrive on loan with an option to buy this summer, something that the Italian team did not accept.
