Manchester United better Barcelona's offer for Ajax's De Ligt
The Sun report the Premier League side have tabled a huge offer
Manchester United have made an offer to Matthijs de Ligt which for many would be impossible to reject. According to The Sun, the Premier League side are ready to do all they can to secure the signing of one of the most wanted centre-backs in European football.
Barcelona thought they had an agreement with De Ligt but he now wants more money and the talks have stalled. The Dutchman wants an amount the Catalans are prepared to pay.
Given the setting, United have reacted and according to The Sun, they have offered De Ligt and his agent, Mini Raiola, 12.3 million pounds annually (13.9 million euros). Barça can't match that figure as they don't want to create a problem in the dressing room.
For now, the doubts continue about where De Ligt will end up. The Ajax defender must make a decision before he heads off on his summer break.
