Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus and Barcelona's Neymar have become inseparable friends. United by their success with Brazil at the Olympic Games and guiding their country to the Russia World Cup next summer, now they've been spending time at a concert and a football tournament in their homeland.

Neymar and Gabriel Jesus were together this weekend in Santos, where on Friday they went to a Wesley Sadafao concert -- a popular forró singer in Brazil -- as guest of the artist and were even afforded the luxury of getting up on the stage and singing some of the lyrics.

On Saturday they were still together, after Neymar invited the City striker to participate in Neymar Jr's Five, a tournament organised by Red Bull. It's the world's biggest amateur football tournament, with 1,879 Brazilian teams taking part and 27,262 more from across the world. The winning team had the chance to play against Ney, Jesus and the Barça stars friends, the Toiss.

The final was an even game and Romania's Tao United progressed to the match against the stars (who arrived by helicopter!). The European side took a surprise 2-0 lead, but Neymar and Jesus were both on target in an eventual 3-2 win.

Neymar: "Gabriel Jesus is a crack, a phenomenon. As well as being at the highest level on the pitch, off the pitch he is exceptional, too. I'm really happy that he's come to play with us today."

"The kid is a crack, a phenomenon. As well as being at the highest level on the pitch, off the pitch he is exceptional, too. I'm really happy that he's come to play with us today," Neymar said about Gabriel Jesus.

Neymar and Gabriel Jesus showed off their great connection on the pitch. They understood each other really well. Their friendship blossomed during the 45 days they spent together at the Rio Olympics last summer. They helped win the gold medal -- Brazil's first -- and their relationship has continued with the national team since.

Both of them have demonstrated their class and shown that, with them, Brazil can once again aspire to win everything. That could have been the case at club level, too, but Barcelona dozed and Gabriel Jesus escaped, signing for City instead.

Neymar, who also commented on Barça's Paulinho interest, and Gabriel Jesus are spending the last few days of the post season in Brazil. Both are due back with their respective clubs, Barça and Man City, next week to begin preparing for the 2017-18 season.
