Daley Blind back on Barcelona's radar

Así ha sido la carrera de Daley Blind desde sus inicios / | SPORT.es

The versatile Manchester United player can join for free in the summer, but a deal could be brought forward

He is 27 years old, has a lot of experience and can play various positions

Daley Blind can negotiate his exit from Manchester United in January to sign for another club in the summer of 2018. The staff at Camp Nou like him a lot. Barcelona have special interest in the Dutchman.

NOT IN MOU's GOOD BOOKS

According to Calciomercato, Blind is not in Jose Mourinho's plans and his future is away from Old Trafford. The 27-year-old signed for them in 2014 for 17.5m euros and after performing well and frequently, he has fallen out of favour behind Ashley Young and even Luke Shaw.

Mourinho did not like Blind defending Louis van Gaal either, the man he replaced on the bench at United.

Alternative

Javier Mascherano heading to Hebei Fortune means Barcelona are working out how to cover the Argentine's absence. Along with forwarding the transfer of Yerry Mina, Blind is an option.

Son of the legendary Ajax captain Danny Blind, what Daley has on Yerry is great experience of European football and the ability to play at centre-back or left-back. Or defensive midfield.

INTER, THE COMPETITION

On top of Barcelona other sides want Blind, including Inter Milan, who have sounded out the player's people over his future.

No information on the fee required to sign Blind this winter has come to light but the speculation is that it would not be a big figure given his contract situation. His agent, Rob Jansen, has received a lot of calls.

BARCA DNA

It's not the first time Barcelona have been interested in him. In the summer of 2016 he was on Robert Fernandez's agenda for his versatility, ability to bring the ball out and reading of the play. 100 per cent from the Dutch school.

Fernandez does not think he would have much trouble adapting and for that, could perform immediately - something coaches like and want.
