The Swedish winger would arrive on a short-term deal until the summer

Manchester United's Anthony Elanga has entered FC Barcelona's orbit as a loan option with Ousmane Dembélé set to miss five weeks due to injury.

Elanga, 20, is a product of Manchester United's youth academy after arriving in England from Sweden. Elanga plays as a left winger and has not featured much in Erik ten Hag's line-ups. He is in his third season in the first team at Old Trafford.

Per ESPN, Manchester United and Barcelona are negotiating a short-term loan of the player whose salary would not be a problem for Barcelona's interests as he does not yet have a massive salary.

In the event of an agreement being reached, and Xavi giving the OK to the operation, it would mean that he would possibly return to Old Trafford to face United in the Europa League.

Barcelona are working to close a deal on the last day of the transfer window on Tuesday and there are different possibilities, such as Pavard, Amrabat and Elanga.
