The English side need Frenkie de Jong to reach a deal with Barcelona over the money he's owed

Frenkie de Jong’s future is still up in the air. In England they think he will become a Manchester United player in the coming days. The English side are convinced he will come and The Telegraph think that any reticence the player had to move has now gone. However the issue is that his salary is too large given the deferred money and bonuses he is due from Barcelona.

Man United coach Erik ten Hag did not want to talk about Frenkie in his first press conference, saying he would not speak about players under contract at other clubs. However the Telegraph says that the coach has convinced De Jong by saying he will be the leader of the project and United have not wanted to look elsewhere.

Man United are said to have agreed a deal with Barcelona for De Jong but it won’t happen unless he finds a solution with the club per the salary issue. They owe him a lot of money. In England they deny that he prefers Chelsea to Man United. The English side are sure that the deal will happen even if they have to wait until the end of July for it to arrive at a good place.
