Man United and Barcelona hold talks over Dest, Wan-Bissaka swap deal

Both clubs are looking to get rid of the right-backs before the window closes

Barcelona and Manchester United have intensified contact in recent hours to discuss several deals. It's no longer just Frenkie de Jong and Memphis Depay's names on the table, but also Sergiño Dest and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Barça coach Xavi Hernandez, as he has shown this season, does not count on Dest and would rather sign another right-back after missing out on Cesar Azpilicueta, who renewed with Chelsea.

Various names have been linked and the latest is a possible swap deal with United for Wan-Bissaka, who is not in Erik ten Hag's plans at Old Trafford.

The Dutch coach would be in favour of a running with Dest, who he coaches at Ajax, but United first need to move on one of their right-backs. Diogo Dalot is currently preferred to Wan-Bissaka.

In terms of a swap, Transfermarkt vue Dest at €18m and Wan-Bissaka at €25m. That is where the discussion between Barça and United will focus: on valuations.
