Man City's Gundogan speaks about Barcelona interest
The German midfielder has been linked with a switch to Camp Nou
Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has spoken for the first time about Barcelona's supposed interest in signing him.
Gundogan, who is currently with Germany at the World Cup in Russia, said he was grateful for the interest but happy at City, where he just won the Premier League.
Speaking to Arab News, he said: "I have two more years on my deal and City and, as you can imagine, I am very happy there."
The 27-year-old added: "I like how we play, the people I have around me, the city, the group... I'm really enjoying everything."
Gundogan, therefore, doesn't sound like a man who is ready to quit the English champions to move to the Spanish champions this summer.
"It was great to win theh Premier League, but we still have a lot of trophies to win," he continued. "The most difficult thing is defending the title.
"Everyone wants to beat ity, the champions. We will try to fight to win the Champions League again, too."
