Man City join Barça in the hunt for Colombian defender Yerri Mina

According to reports in England the Premier League leaders want to beat Barça to another Palmeiras player

Colombian centre-back Yerri Mina is one of the players being lined up by Manchester City, according to reports in the Daily Mail on Wednesday. Mina, who plays for Palmeiras in Brazil, is a player wanted by Barcelona, too

The 22-year-old is in a rich run of form having signed for Palmeiras last May. However, a clause in his contract would allow him to leave and Barça have a preferential option to sign the defender, whose contract expires in 2019.

Remember that City signed another Palmeiras player who was a Barça target. The Premier League side secured the services of striker Gabriel Jesus, who will join the club in January.

Mina made his debut for Deportivo Pasto in 2013 and has been capped by Colombia on four occasions. He also played for Santa Fe before joining Palmeiras. His international debut came against Paraguay earlier this year.
