The former FC Barcelona once again called for the freedom of political prisoners in Spain

Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola has once again asked for the freedom of the former members of Carles Puigdemont's government as well as the presidents of the ANC and Omnium Cultural, Jordi Sánchez and Jordi Cuixart.

The Catalan explained in various languages (Catalan, English, Italian and German) what the yellow ribbon means and also asked that on the day of the upcoming Diada de Catalunya (September 11) everyone sends a message to Europe and the rest of the world.

PEP'S MESSAGE

"A few weeks ago, some of the best golfers in the world, including Tiger Woods, played a tournament in the United States and wore a yellow ribbon on their hearts for the whole weekend. The intention was to support Jarrod Lyle, who is fighting leukaemia. The players wore the ribbon to be close to Jarrod and his family, in a humanitarian gesture which was seen around the world. Something similar is happening in Catalonia, where thousands and thousands of people wear a yellow ribbon to show humanity towards the various normal men and women that have spent nearly a year in prison simply for defending their ideas. Those that are there on September 11 in Catalonia, we would appreciate you transmitting this message to Europe and the whole world. Freedom for all those that are in prison. I hope they can return home."
