Malcom, signed; the player is on his way to Barcelona in a €41m deal
Barcelona and Bordeaux are very close to finalising a fee and the player is expected to join up with Barça in the US
Malcom Filipe Silva da Oliveira, currently on the books of Bordeaux, will soon become Barcelona's third signing of the summer. The Brazilian winger has agreed terms with Barça on a five-year deal. The French club want €38m with €3m made up of variables according to information from Brazil which are claiming the transfer is complete.
Malcom was extremely close to signing for Roma in a €32m+€4m deal but at the last moment Barcelona made a bid to secure the winger's signature.
To explain how close Malcom was to joining Roma, the player was waiting at the airport to take a plane to Italy when he got a phone call to tell him about Barça's interest in him. A speedy resolution between the two parties saw Roma withdraw from the deal.
Some media outlets are reporting that the clubs are preparing the documents and the player could be presented as a Barcelona man in the next few hours before setting off immediately to join his new teammates in the United States.
