The Barcelona forward said the squad is like a family

Barca's Brazilian forward Malcom has spoken about his feelings after his first months as a Blaugrana player and, especially, after his debut with the team in the Champions League in which he netted against Inter.

The young Brazilian striker commented that for the moment “my adaptation is going very well, I am adapting and learning to speak a little bit of Spanish”. Malcom is happy with his integration into the squad "because the relationship between everyone is like that of a family."

Malcom says that among his team-mates, "everyone wants the best for each other and we make a lot of jokes in the dressing room." The relationship with my teammates is getting better," he said.

Logically, those who helped him in the beginning were his compatriots because of the language issue. "I'm always with the Brazilians, Coutinho, Arthur, Rafinha ... we're always together and I talk more with them, but I'm good with everyone, with Leo (Messi), (Luis) Suárez, (Gerard) Piqué, (Jordi) Alba ... with everybody.”

Logically, the goal of Malcom is to "play the tough games" with Barça and ”to show the coach that I have quality to be with the group."

So far he has been getting on "well with Valverde, I spoke with him and he told me that he needed me to be with the group, to improve, our relationship is very good.”

Of course his favourite moment so far was his Champions League debut against Inter. ”Debuting in Champions, I did not care if it was eight or ten minutes ... because it was the dream I’ve had since I was a child and also scoring ... It will remain in my memory of my career forever," he added.

The Brazilian puts a special value on that moment because "I always imagined that I could score a goal in the Champions League but not against a very strong team (Inter Milan), who have players of great quality ... I lived a dream".

It was a special moment that he also lived through with his family, even if they were in the distance. "After the match, I called my mother and she was crying because I knew that I always said from a young age, with nine or ten years, that I wanted to play a Champions League game with Barcelona and for me and my family to debut with a goal is a dream come true.”
