Luiz Felipe Scolari belives "crack" Coutinho will be a huge Barça success

Legendary Brazilian coach Luiz Felipe Scolari has spoken exclusively to SPORT, with new Barcelona signing Philippe Coutinho one of the topics of conversation. 

Felipao is convinced that Coutinho, who joined Barcelona from Liverpool for €160 million, will mark an era at Camp Nou, following in the footsteps of his compatriots like Romario, Rivaldo and Ronaldinho. 

"He's a crack, he's shown his versatility to triumph at Liverpool and now he will do the same at Barcelona," he said. 

As well as pointing out Coutinho's totally adapted to European football after his time in Serie A (Inter), La Liga (Espanyol) and especially the Premier League (Liverpool), Scolari added: "He is extremely technical, he's creative and can finish from long distance... and in Europe he's added the tactical side of things to his game." 

Scolari is a big Coutinho fan and is impressed by his growth in recent years. Now at Barcelona, he feels he has the right stage to take his talent to the next level. 

Coutinho could make his debut for Barcelona this week. He joined with a thigh injury but returned to full training with his teammates on Saturday. Barça play Espanyol on Thursday and then Alaves on Sunday, both at Camp Nou.
