Luis Suarez's opening goal against Osasuna for Barça was onside
Some claimed the Uruguayan's goal should have been ruled out but replays suggest otherwise
Luis Suarez scored the goal which gave Barcelona the lead over Osasuna in their 3-0 win on Saturday.
Suarez, who had other chances earlier in the game, finally broke the home team’s resistance when he tapped home Jordi Alba’s pass. However, some people felt the Uruguayan was offside.
It was the 59th minute when he latched on to Alba’s cross, after good play from Lionel Messi in the build up, to score. Osasuna goalkeeper Nauzet was out of position and there was little he could do.
It’s the 10th goal Suarez has scored in the league this season. And replays showed he was clearly behind the ball when the pass was played.
