The Atletico Madrid striker has been linked with a return to the Premier League in the summer
Luis Suarez is out of contract with Atletico Madrid at the end of the season and has received several offers ahead of next season.
The former Barcelona striker is likely to leave Atletico after firing them to the title last season and the latest club to show an interest is Premier League side Aston Villa.
According to the journalist Gerard Romero, Villa coach Steven Gerrard has been in direct contact with Suarez to offer him the chance to return to England.
Suarez and Gerrard played alongside each other at Liverpool and struck up a good relationship on and off the pitch.
Romero adds that Suarez has also been approached by Brazilian sides Palmeiras, Corinthians and Atlético Mineiro, while he also has an offer from an unnamed club in Saudi Arabia.
However, the Uruguay international is said to prefer a move to Villa, where he could link up with former Liverpool and Barça teammate Philippe Coutinho, who moved to Villa Park this month on loan with a €40 million option to buy in the summer.
Villa have also just signed another former Barça player in Lucas Digne, while they took academy striker Louie Barry from La Masia two years ago.
