Luis Enrique's warning to ensure goalscorer Carles Aleña stays grounded

The Barça coach says the midfielder still has a number of things he needs to work on

Luis Enrique Martinez, FC Barcelona manager, had few complaints about his players and only lamented the fact they couldn't seal the win against Hercules.

"We lacked fluidity in the first half, but we've made a number of changes," he said. "In general the attitude was good.

"I'm happy with the idea [of how we played] and the second half. But it is always difficult to create chances when there are so many players behind the ball. And when we don't have our usual forwards, it's even more complicated."

On the five B team players that featured, he added: "We can't expect that in two training sessions the B team players will take in all the concepts of our play, especially against a deep rival.

"Against a five man defence we put seven past Celtic, so it's nothing to do with that, though. With so many young players and only two training sessions it's tough.

"There are a number of tactics to use against rivals who sit back in their area. You have to get players between the lines, go wide, shoot from distance... Hercules were good in the first half, logically because they were fresh."

On Carles Aleña, who scored the goal which earned a draw, Luis Enrique wasn't getting carried away.

He said: "I'm satisifed with the goal Aleña's scored, but if I got hold of him in the first half I'd have given him a clip around the ear!

"Positionally he has to improve things. At 46 I can recieve the ball in easy areas of the pitch. We expect a lot from him and we're going to keep on top of him to ensure that he continues to progress."
