Luis Enrique gives his verdict on Barcelona's preseason

Luis Enrique said that against Roma you "won't see the team for the European Super Cup. I'm more concerned in preseason about sharing out minutes, watching how the players do, their physical condition, discomfort. I'm more worried abotu this than the result, but we would like to win the Gamper, and I hope that it will be like this because we do not like losing, but we have prioritized other things before taking on Sevilla. Asked about preseason, he said: "The best is that it's finished and competition starts. I do not like preseason, I've never liked them. I’m satisfied on a collective level but there a few defensive aspects that we need to work on. In general, I’d say it was an acceptable preseason."

On the Joan Gamper trophy, he said: “The Gamper is a special game as it re-unites us with our supporters. Always a special match with a great atmosphere. It’s always great to play in front of your home fans again and I hope it’s a great game."
