The left back wants to have a bigger role in the future

Barcelona have sealed Arthur's transfer and Clement Lenglet is basically there too, but they are working on other moves too. One of the unexpected footballers who could leave is Lucas Digne. The Frenchman didn't have a lot of protagonism last season and wants more minutes this term, something difficult given Jordi Alba is the clear starter. The Blagurana are willing to let him go if an interesting offer arrives for all parties.

Digne arrived two seasons ago from PSG after a successful loan at Roma. He fought to start as the left-back but both Luis Enrique and Ernesto Valverde relegated him to the bench. He played more in his first season but last year became a minimal presence. Digne, who is a French international, has not had chances at the World Cup and that has made him think.

Barca paid 16m euros to PSG and they don't have the intention of losing money. There are clubs that want him. What Digne wants is a good project in which he can be a starter. That's why he left PSG and could leave Barca.

If Digne leaves, Barca would think about signing a new left-back to take his slot. Barca believe in youth player Juan Miranda, but don't think he's ready yet to be a first teamer.
