Liverpool do not want Arthur after disastrous season

The Brazilian will go back to Juventus, where he has been on loan from

Arthur Melo will not remain at Liverpool next season. The English club have waived their option to buy the Brazilian player and have already informed Juventus that they are sending him back after a season in which he has played practically no minutes, due to injuries.

Juve do not seem to want him either, so they are going to put him back on the market with the aim of getting rid of him permanently. Barca, who sold him in the Pjanic swap deal, have got off lightly.

Arthur's performances have gone downhill since he left the Camp Nou. After his transfer to Juve, he started playing but Allegri dropped him as he felt he didn't fit in Italy. He always demanded more physical power from him and the Brazilian was not able to reverse the situation. Surprisingly, Arthur ended up on loan at Liverpool, but Klopp has never counted on him and an injury ended up leaving him ostracised. In fact, the Brazilian has long worked with Liverpool's reserve team.

The problem Juventus now have with Arthur is serious. He has a very high salary and the player is not willing to resign, far from it. In Italy they are considering a new loan move for the Brazilian, although his high salary makes it almost unfeasible for him to find a team. Last summer, Arthur offered himself to Barça, but the Blaugrana club do not want him and will not do so in the future. It is not even ruled out that the player could return to Brazil.
