Lionel Messi’s long-term performance levels have been reflected with some impressive goalscoring numbers.
These are shown in a graphic from Coach David Baird on Twitter, showing the evolution of various goalscoring stars month on month, at the same age.
Messi had a spectacular eruption into the elite, but he wasn’t the player he is now.
Here you can see his nice moving graphic which displays the goal tally each of these top forwards had, month by month.
Messi is eventually overtaken by Cristiano Ronaldo, who is 34 years old compared to Leo’s 31.
