Leo Messi was the big doubt ahead of the Spanish Super Cup. However the Barcelona No 10 is training with his team-mates this morning in an activation session ahead of the clash with Athletic Bilbao in Seville. He feels good and the Argentine will start for Ronald Koeman’s side at La Cartuja.
In the semi-finals against Real Sociedad he could not play a part from the bench. Yesterday he trained and had positive sensations.
Messi is in good form with a brace in each of his last two games. He has lit the fuse in 2021 after a difficult end to 2020.
