Barcelona star Lionel Messi has been ranked the best player to ever play football by famous Dutch magazine 'Voetbal International'. Messi, the captain of the Argentina side, is ahead of both Diego Maradona and Johan Cruyff.
The oldest football magazine in Holland highlights Messi's 30 titles with Barça and the numerous individual awards he has won, all while still being 29. Cristiano Ronaldo, his great rival at Real Madrid, is not in the top five.
Diego Armando Maradona, who is second, is chosen for his performances with Argentina at Mexico 1986, as well as his other achievements in club football, while third place is occupied by former Barça player and manager Johan Cruyff.
The rankings in the magazine, which is ready by 800,000 people every week, have caused quite a stir...
