Rumours about Lionel Messi’s future have grown in recent days. Firstly because of his contract leak and then because of different comments from PSG players, including Argentines Leandro Paredes and Angel di Maria. Ronald Koeman said on Wednesday that he sees these as a lack of respect and an attempt to spice up the Champions League clash with Barcelona.
Messi does not like the speculation about his future either. The Barcelona star already said a few weeks ago with his chat on LaSexta with Jordi Evole, that he will not take a decision until the end of the season.
SPORT have learned from sources close to the player that Leo “is tired” of these rumours linking him to PSG. He wants to make clear he has nothing to do with them.
First it was Neymar, then coach Mauricio Pochettino. Then Paredes said: “I hope we can have Messi with us, it depends on the club.” And Di Maria added: “There’s a big chance of signing Leo.”
From Messi’s camp, SPORT has been informed that Leo “has not spoken with anybody from PSG” about his future. His plan is to wait at least until the club elections on March 7 and speak to the new president.
