The Barça star says he's less selfish than he used to be

Leo Messi recognises that the way he plays has changed in recent years and he is "less selfish, in inverted commas," although he continues to run as much as ever.

The Barcelona forward was speaking to the show La Cornisa which is presented by Luis Majul on the Argentine channel America TV in an interview which will go out this Sunday at 20.30 (Argentine time).

In the sneak preview of the interview, Messi explains his evolution over the last few seasons.

The genius from Rosario has no problem admitting that "before I was robbing the ball and making my play [alone], or at least trying to make my play."

In contrast, "now I try to play more for the team, to pass the ball more and to not be such a finisher or so selfish, in inverted commas."

The attacker added: "I try to move the team from one position to another, but I keep running as much as ever, just in a different way."

Argentina have two friendlies coming up in the looming international break, the second against Spain at the Wanda Metroplitano.
