Lionel Messi returns to training this Wednesday
After the Argentine star missed a few training sessions, instead working in the gym alongside Luis Suarez, he's now rejoined his teammates out on the pitch
FC Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde took charge of his second training session of the week this Wednesday. The coach wasn't available on Monday due to other commitments but he was back today and called up some of the youngsters to make up the numbers.
One familiar and important name out on the pitch was none other than Lionel Messi. The Argentine has spent the last few days working in the gym alongside Luis Suarez, who continues his special treatment to cure a lingering knee issue, but resurfaced today alongside his teammates who haven't been called up for international duty.
The Barça B players involved in the training session were Iñaki Peña, Jokin Ezkieta, Morer, Cuenca, Oriol Busquets, Riqui Puig and Mujica.
The first team squad will train again tomorrow before being given a rest ahead of the next set of domestic fixtures.
