Messi has spent a total of 41.7 complete days playing for the football club

You can add another landmark to Lionel Messi's long Barcelona career: he's now passed 60,000 minutes wearing the club's shirt in official competitions.

Messi advances to 60,050 minutes after playing the whole game in the 1-1 draw at Alaves on Saturday. His first minutes came on Oct. 16, 2004, at Montjuic against Espanyol in La Liga. He was 17 year, three months and 22 days old at the time. Now he's 33 years, four months and seven days old.

Playing that many minutes equates to almost 42 full days on the football pitch -- 41.7 to be exact. IT's other 1,000 hours, almost six weeks, 1.3 months and 3,603,000 seconds. Numbers fitting of the best player in the world.

Messi has played 739 games for Barça in total and is just 28 games away from matching the club's all-time record appearance maker, Xavi Hernandez. In those games, he has scored 637 goals.
