Lionel Messi moves top in Golden Shoe and Pichichi standings

The Leganes double has moved the Argentine to the top of the goal scoring charts

With his two goals last night, Lionel Messi helped Barcelona dodge ridicule against Leganes at Camp Nou and kept them in the title race, one point back from Real Madrid having played two games more.

Messi celebrated the first goal, which came after just four minutes, but didn't do the same when he scored the winning goal from the penalty spot in the final minute.

The two goals, however, move Messi to the front in the race to win the European Golden Shoe and the Pichichi in Spain, the two trophies designed for Europe and Spain's top scorers respectively.
