Another award for Lionel Messi's big collection. The Barcelona star was chosen as player of the month in La Liga for September, a just reward for some fine individual performances.
Messi will receive the award on Saturday against Sevilla, 8.45pm. September was an almost perfect month for Messi on an individual level. He played five games, scoring three (two against Huesca, one vs Girona) and provided four assists.
His start to the season has been one of the stand-outs for the club who as a whole have had problems. Barca will hope their leader can vanquish leaders Sevilla on Saturday at Camp Nou.
