Lionel Messi is already back in Barcelona
The Barcelona icon returned to the city with his family after spending the first part of his holidays in Central America
Leo Messi returned to Barcelona today to spend the second part of his holidays on Spanish soil. Messi, who arrived at El Prat airport with his family, had chosen to take a few relaxing days away from the media's glare following Argentina's unsuccessful World Cup Campaign.
The Barcelona forward picked Central America as the destination for his initial holidays, spending a few days in the Caribbean, where he could enjoy the sunny beaches as he disconnected following an intensive World Cup campaign.
Messi and his family were the perfect picture of happiness as they landed at the airport. The Barcelona man took the time to sign autographs and take photos with fans as he made his way to his car before driving off to his home.
Messi still has two more weeks to enjoy on his summer break and it'll be interesting to see if, as in previous years, he returns to training ahead of schedule.
Barcelona started their preseason training on the 11th July and will travel to the United States on the 24th. Messi's likely debut will come against Sevilla in the Spanish Super Cup which takes place on the 12th August in Tangier, Morocco.
