Lionel Messi struck two goals against Osasuna, playing extremely well and going top of the Pichichi chart with 11 strikes. 

Messi took advantage of the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo to become the league's top scorer. But his double signifies more than just that. 

He is now in the top 10 of the rankings in the European Golden Shoe chart. Top is Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, of Borussia Dortmund, with 15 goals in 14 weeks. Ahead of Leo are Dezeko and Icardi too, with 12 goals each.
