After missing the United States tour because of injury, Lionel Messi is continuing to work hard and ensure he can play a part in the LaLiga opener against Athletic Club.
The Argentine star is rehabbing the injury at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper and this Sunday, whilst his teammates were arriving from the USA, Leo had two special helpers alongside him.
Messi's two oldest children, Thiago and Mateo, were training alongside their father.
He posted a snap of the three together with the captain: "We keep working on our recovery and today alongside two very special teammates."
Ernesto Valverde has already said he thinks it's unlikely Messi will be ready for the first match of the season but, as we know with Leo, expect the unexpected.
