Head coach Ronald Koeman has selected Yusuf Demir in his starting XI

Ronald Koeman has released his starting XI for Barcelona's pre-season friendly against Juventus, marking the 65th edition of the Joan Gamper Trophy. The game is due to kick off at 9:30 pm local time and will be played at the Estadi Johan Cruyff.

The starting line-up is as follows: Neto; Dest, Piqué, Araujo, Jordi Alba; Sergio Roberto, Busquets, Demir; Griezmann, Braithwaite, Memphis.

The most surprising selection is that of Austrian midfielder Yusuf Demir. While he usually plays out wide, Barça's line up suggests that the young talent will play in an inside-left position. Despite being deployed in a more advanced position in previous friendlies, he looks set to play in central midfield against 'The Old Lady' in tonight's fixture.

New arrival Emerson Royal has had to settle for a place on the bench. Sergio Agüero, meanwhile, has picked up an injury and will not feature in tonight's match.

Centre back Eric García will now have some time off following his participation in this summer's Olympic Games, and is another player who will not play in tonight's friendly.
