Barcelona B have been knocked out of the Copa Catalunya in the first round after going down to L’Hospitalet on penalties on Saturday.

L’Hospitalet will meet the winner of the tie between Castelldefels and Satnboià in the next round after progressing following a goalless draw in normal time.

García Pimienta went into the game with some important players missing. Carles Pérez, Collado, Riqui Puig, Abel Ruiz and Miranda all trained with the first team and will be involved in the Joan Gamper Trophy game on Sunday.

Therefore, he picked a frontline of McGuane, Kike and the Brazilian Gabriel Novaes. Barça were on top in the first 45 minutes, with Monchu having their best chances from distance.

Ansu Fati came on at the break after his brace in midweek. However, he couldn't find the breakthrough and the game went to penalties.

Araújo, McGuane and Monchu all scored for Barça but Ansu and Guillem missed as L’Hospitalet won 4-3.
