The French newspaper cites sources close to the player who deny Griezmann has decided where he'll play next season
Whether or not Antoine Griezmann will stay at Atletico Madrid or join Barcelona this summer is turning out to be one of the biggest transfer stories of the summer so far. The newspaper 'ABC' published an article today saying that the French forward had decided to remain in Madrid next season. They claim that the player has told his close friends and family about the decision but is yet to go public on the matter.
However almost immediately the French newspaper 'L'Equipe' denied ABC's report and claim they themselves have spoken to Griezmann's entourage and confirm that no decision has been made on the player's future yet. "Today, we don't know where Antoine will play next season. Antoine hasn't made a decision and contrary to the reports in the past few months, he hasn't signed a pre-contract agreement with Barça either," the sources said.
L'Equipe also deny claims that Griezmann will make an announcement on his future before the World Cup starts. "That's still to be decided," according to French sources.
