The eternal comparison between Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo keeps coming back even though they are no longer direct Liga rivals.
Cristiano Ronaldo's departure to Juventus has not stopped the debate. Since the coronavirus, Messi has come back the stronger.
The Argentine has got two goals and two assists against Mallorca and Leganes in La Liga, but Ronaldo has not managed either yet. Ronaldo played in the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia against Milan, drawing 0-0, and the final against Napoli, which ended 0-0 and the southern side won on penalties.
His role in both games left a lot to be desired. Cristiano was blasted by fans and the media.
Messi's time has been different. Against Mallorca he set up two goals and then netted and he also slotted a penalty against Leganes which he won with a great dribble.
