Leeds accept FC Barcelona’s bid for Brazilian forward Raphinha

| sport

In what is possibly the concluding episode in the negotiations for the Leeds forward, Barça have finally submitted an offer of 58+10 million for the player

Raphinha will be Barça's third signing for the 22/23 season. The Brazilian has already been clear for days that his future lies at the Barcelona camp and the finalization of his move is closer now than ever. According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Barça have already presented their formal offer to Leeds, who it would seem are willing to accept it. The new offer figures at 58 million euros fixed plus another ten in variables that could bring the total fees for the signing to 68 million euros.

The agreement is just a few small details away from being made official and it is expected that in the next few days or even hours the Brazilian will become Xavi's third reinforcement, after Kessié and Christensen.

Raphinha had already made it clear that his intention was to leave only for Barcelona and that is why he did not join his erstwhile teammates at Leeds in their trip to Australia for the pre-season tour. Both player and club were clear that this was the only possible conclusion and that is why other offers, such as the one from Chelsea, which was financially superior to the one from Barça, were discarded.
