Last train for Adama Traore at Barcelona

Last train for Adama Traore at Barcelona

The winger will start against Mallorca and it might be one of his final moments to convince Xavi

No starts in the last five, one in the last eight. Adama Traore’s status has dipped after he arrived like a cyclone in January. The La Masia winger, on loan from Wolves, has not featured much in the last few weeks.

When everything looked like Dembele would not play for the club, Adama’s electricity and changes of pace filled the void left by the Frenchman. However since Dembele has won the starting spot back and may stay, Adama’s options have shrunk.

Barcelona don’t want to pay for him and a trade deal with Trincao might be complicated. Against Mallorca he will get a rare chance to shine with Dembele out with tonsillitis, presumably alongside Aubameyang and Ferran Torres.

It might be one of his last opportunities to convince Xavi and the club they should make an effort to keep him. He has four assists but no goals so far.
