Laporta turned down Pique's bid to 'buy' the fourth palanca this summer
The defender was keen in investing in Barça Studios through his company Kosmos
Barcelona's socios voted in favour of the club, presided over by Joan Laporta, selling assets this past summer to improve the financial situation.
The now famous 'palancas' -- financial levers -- saw Barça sell television rights and a stake in Barça Studios in four separate deals to fund summer signings.
After selling 25 percent of their LaLiga rights for the next 25 years in two lots to Sixth Street, Laporta activated the sale of a stake in Barça Studios.

However, according to Joan Fontes, Barça defender Gerard Pique was keen on buying a stake in the subsidiary company.
Laporta turned Pique down for ethical reasons, given it wouldn't have been right to sell to an active footballer at the club, but it did not go down well with the centre-back according to the report.
It's not the first time Pique has tried to invest in the club. He tried to pull off a similar deal with previous president Josep Maria Bartomeu with the same result.
