Laporta to travel along with Barça players to the United States on Saturday
The president will board the plane with the rest of the Spanish club's expedition at the start of the preseason tour
Barça president Joan Laporta is set to travel on Saturday to America to join the club's team and coach Xavi Hernández on the pre-season tour of the United States. Laporta himself confirmed that he would join the expedition later, as next week Barça will sign their deal with Sixth Street for the transfer of 15% of the television rights, for an estimated amount between 320 and 330 million euros.
The activation of the second lever will allow the Spanish club to solve the delicate financial situation it is going through, and allow it to pursue its targeted players in the transfer window to reinforce the squad and return them to the fight for all the titles.
The signing with Sixth Street, which has already obtained the assignment of another 10% of the television rights, is scheduled for the next week, but President Laporta will be able to sign the contract in the United States, where Sixth Street has its headquarters. Barça will play four matches in the United States against opponents Inter Miami (Miami), Real Madrid (Las Vegas), Juventus (Dallas) and Red Bull (New York). In the United States, Laporta will also have a busy institutional agenda.
