Most LaLiga clubs want to sign Riqui Puig on loan from Barcelona

The midfielder is likely to leave Camp Nou on loan at the end of the season

Barcelona's Riqui Puig came off the bench to score against Osasuna after weeks without playing. The midfielder took advantage of the chance given to him by Xavi to showcase his talent and put himself in the shop window ahead of the summer.

Barça have received many offers to take him on loan, above all from LaLiga clubs but also from abroad. Many clubs have been in touch to find out the situation and the club are clear that, if he doesn't play more soon, the best option is a loan move to play regularly and develop.

It's not been easy for Puig who's been overtaken by several midfielders. The emergence of Pedri, Gavi and Nico has left him in the background behind Frenkie de Jong and Sergio Busquets as well. Barça are also trying to sign Franck Kessie.

With so many midfielder options, Barça will open the door for Puig to leave. He has always been against leaving even though only under Quique Setien has he played regularly. Ronald Koeman tried to get him to go out on loan but he declined.

But now that Xavi's arrival has not changed his fortune, he may change his mind because he will turn 23 this year and needs to think about his career.

Barça's idea, for now, is to keep him at the club but let him play elsewhere. And there will be no shortage of offers. Most of the clubs in Primera would take him on loan, while English side Wolverhampton Wanderers and Italian and German clubs are also keen.
