The Catalan player scored a brace in Leipzig's friendly against Saint Truiden and shows that he is looking forward to having a big impact in his fourth season in Germany

After finishing third in the Bundesliga and winning the Pokal (German Cup), Dani Olmo starts his fourth season at RB Leipzig as one of the leaders and pillars of the team.

The Catalan player, despite being rumoured at the beginning of the summer - as is tradition in every transfer window - as a possible reinforcement for Barça, renewed his contract with the Red Bull club in June.

After making his pre-season debut against Udinese on 25 July, the Terrassa native scored a brace in Wednesday's 4-0 win over Belgian side Saint Truiden. The penultimate test for the German side before they face Bayern in the German Super Cup next weekend.

At 25 years of age, Olmo is nearing his peak years, with a long way to go, mature and eager to make his mark again this season. RB Leipzig will be competing for more titles, including the Champions League. This season he will play alongside Xavi Simons, who arrives in Leipzig on loan from PSG. Two players moulded in La Masia.
