Talking at his charity golf tournament, the Dutch coach answered all questions about the current state of play at Barça

A relaxed and smiling Ronald Koeman fielded questions from journalists before heading to tee-off in his charity golf tournament. "I'm so scared!", joked the Barça head coach, upon seeing the mass of journalists waiting to ask him questions about Messi's future, the transfer window and Pedri's participation in the Olympic Games.

Koeman is currently hosting a two-day charity golf tournament, the Koeman Cup, which is being attended by Barça president Joan Laporta and some of the Dutch coach's friends from the world of football. Evidently, with the experience that he has acquired in his life and professional career, he was not intimidated at all by the press or their questions. On the contrary, he acted as one of the club's spokespersons, toeing the company line that has been communicated by Laporta in recent weeks. He even raised questions about Antoine Griezmann's future.

Although Joan Laporta spoke publicly on the day before the Koeman Cup, he chose not to talk to the press on Friday. In fact, it was only Koeman himself, acting as host, who addressed journalists on Friday, doing so with courtesy and without placing any restrictions on questions or time, as is typical of the Dutch coach.

Pep Guardiola posed next to Koeman for the photo call, but did not speak to the press. Riqui Puig, representing the first team squad, expressly stated that he would not talk to the media. Other attendees, such as former interim president and board member Carles Tusquets, avoided the cameras altogether. Henrik Larsson, one of Koeman's assistants, and ex-Barça player and SPORT collaborator, Pichi Alonso, were also in attendance.

This charity golf tournament, sponsored by the Barça head coach, seeks to raise money for the Sant Joan de Déu Mothers and Children Hospital. The chosen venue is located in Sant Esteve de Sesrovires, specifically at the Barcelona Golf Club, which is due to host a competition featuring the likes of Pep Guardiola, Bernd Schuster, Riqui Puig and Henrick Larsson, as well as many other famous figures from the world of football, many of whom have an association with FC Barcelona.

Koeman struck his first balls of the day alongside Pep Guardiola and Riqui Puig, warming up before starting his round. He started on the 17th hole alongside the Manchester City manager, in a tournament that began at 10:00 AM on Friday morning.
