The Dutchman admitted Barça's Champions League campaign is as good as over

Barcelona were haunted in the Champions League again on Tuesday as they were beaten 4-1 by Paris Saint-Germain at Camp Nou.

Kylian Mbappe scored a hat-trick to all but end Barça's hopes in Europe this season, although Ronald Koeman's side still have the second leg to come in Paris next month.

"In the second half, yes, PSG were superior," Koeman said. "They were Very effective, above all Mbappe. The first half was more equal.

"At 1-0 we had a great chance with (Ousmane) Ousmane. In the second half we had problems defensively. They showed with the ball, but above all physically, they are superior to us."

Barca famously turned round a 4-0 loss to PSG when they met in the competition in 2017, winning the second leg 6-1, but Koeman says a comeback is not likely this time.

"You aways have to play another game but 1-4 is very difficult because, and I could lie, but losing 4-1 at home, there's hardly any chance of getting through."
