"I don't believe in psychologists and mental [issues], the good players always stand up"

Speaking about the team's current situation, Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman was asked if he thought the squad would benefit from the appointment of a sports psychologist.

The Dutch coach's response was crystal clear. He doesn't think a psychologist is necessary and says the players are the ones that need to step up.

"This team has enough personality and experience," Koeman said in Saturday's press conference. "It's a moment for the experienced players who've been here for so many years to step up. The good players always stand up. I hope to see the team fired up against Levante on Sunday."

The Barça boss reiterated that:  "I don't believe in psychologists and mental [issues]. If you play for Barca, pressure exists, you know that, and you have to overcome it."

Barca are in league action on Sunday against Levante, with games at Camp Nou to follow over the next week against Real Sociedad and Valencia.
